To fall back from the flood stage.
I’m in the middle of Jane Eyre, page 253 and I have noticed a change with my reading. What started as a thorough reading and unraveling of the pages, ebbed into a scratching the surface, or a perusal. I don’t like this revelation, because skimming is for forced reading, such as an assigned book in English class.
I’m not a Jane Austen fanatic, but my friend is. She recommended Jane Eyre, and I didn’t expect Bronte to have any different writing style.
So far, I can say this recieves an excellent grade for its syntax, but the story can be lackluster at times.
Lets see how this ends.
